We ordered biryani and it was absolutely delicious — just like the taste from back home! Everyone loved it and we’re all very happy with the experience. Highly recommended!

Food was absolutely delicious, we highly recommend! Great to have an Indian restaurant in Listowel. We ordered samosas, butter chicken, beef ularthu, chicken biryani, and paratha. The meat was high quality and sauces were quite spicey, exactly the way we like them.

We were headed home from family and decided to stop in Listowel (Jared Keeso is from here and we’re fans of Letterkenny Shorsey). We came on a Sunday evening so a fair amount of restaurants were closed. We were walking around and spotted their sign and knew that was the place we wanted to eat at. It is a take out place, but they have picnic tables out front so we ate there. The scent coming o it the kitchen was phenomenal and the food was so delicious we forgot to take pictures ;) We got the pork vindaloo (which came with a side of scented rice), garlic naan, and Kerala chicken biryani. The vindaloo had a nice kick but wasn’t too spicy. The biryani was so fragrant and the chicken was incredibly moist and came off the bone so easily). The best biryani my husband and I had ever had. The meal also came with complimentary home made hot sauce and raita. I can’t wait to go back and try more dishes. Please don’t miss out on this gem.

Update: we ordered take-out for our family yesterday (May 2025) and when he brought our food out the owner told us that he felt the fish and chips weren't up to his standards so he wouldn't charge us for that meal. We thought it was quite good, as were the more traditional Indian meals we had ordered. April 2025: Delicious food and excellent customer service. Looking forward to bringing the whole family next time.

The food was absolutely incredible. Cannot shout this place out enough. So so delicious! I would highly recommend. So flavourful. Great service too!

Just had dinner from here. We picked up Chicken Biryani, Butter Chicken, some steamed rice, and some Indian bread. The food was super fresh and absolutely delicious. The chicken biryani falls right off the bone. The servings were very generous. They also comped us for the rice which totally wasn't necessary - I asked for a 5pm pickup and waited roughly 3-5min when I got there. I think I might have been early as well.

I'm an Indian food snob for 4.5 decades! Spice India is hands down as good as it gets!!! The portions are great, and the prices are reasonable, and rice is included (instead of charging astronomical prices for rice like others do and gouge you for something so cheap to buy). They don't use that cubed chicken that looks manufactured -- it's real chicken chunks! And it's not just tons of sauce with no chicken in it either like a majority of places I've been at. Malabar Chicken Curry and Butter Chicken are my favourites. You can't go wrong with those! Plus the staff tries to please. I can't imagine anyone being disappointed.

Great food! Enjoyed every bite- order for my wife’s birthday and was a hit! Definitely try out! And definitely will be back.
